Banner Stand Artwork Tips & Recommendations

Follow these design tips to ensure the best order experience at Totally Promotional. You will find product-specific artwork templates on the product details page for your reference.

FORMATS

We prefer AI files. Others accepted: EPS, PDF, JPG, PNG. Please send the highest resolution or vector format file if available.

Raster format is accepted but may take extra time for proofing and/or may incur additional charges. Not Recommended: Word, Excel, PowerPoint or scanned images.

ART RECOMMENDATIONS:

  • Have your fonts converted to outlines in Adobe Illustrator or embedded in the image.
  • If submitting a raster formatted file: use images at 150-300 dots per inch and embedded (to actual print size), transparent background: PNG or PSD, minimum line thickness is 4pt.
  • Do not flatten any vector artwork with your background images/ photographs/ raster artwork. This can cause dulling of colors and unexpected or undesired printing results. Please supply the artwork with the layers intact.
  • Choose colors from the Pantone Matching System Solid Coated Colors

DESIGN TIPS

  • Design the banner for the total printed area as shown on the artwork template in the product details. This will ensure the design covers the full canvas and there will not be white space around the edges.
  • Avoid images with gradients, transparency, halftones or drop shadows. These can print with unexpected results. We cannot guarantee color matching when using gradients, transparencies or halftones.
  • Choose vinyl material if vibrant colors and sharp photographs are important. Polyester is more textured and can cause photographs to appear fuzzy.
  • Keep as much of your design in vector format as possible. If sending PSD files, do not flatten layers.

PRINTING PROCESS

Polyester banners for our banner stands are printed via dye sublimation. The process involves printing artwork onto transfer paper and sublimating or dyeing it permanently into the banner material through a high heat transfer.

Vinyl banners for our banner stands are digitally printed.The digital printing process at Totally Promotional uses a large-scale digital computer printer, the artwork is printed directly onto the final material with an eco-solvent ink. Digital printing is ideal for printing detailed images and sharp designs.
