Classic Blue wedding favors are trending as couples rush to infuse the Pantone Color of the Year 2020 into their big celebration.
The Pantone Color Institute’s announcement last week sent wedding planners into a Classic Blue frenzy! Style experts around the globe are working to breathe shades of the blue hue into wedding favors, apparel, flowers, decorations, invitations and other essentials.
Last year, the institute named Living Coral as its Color of the Year 2019.
What is Classic Blue?
The color Classic Blue (Pantone 19-4052) reminds me of the ocean, which makes me incredibly happy because I love the beach! My personal feelings toward the hue are pretty close to the adjectives Pantone Institute gives it: Calm, timeless, tranquil and enduring. Classic Blue resembles the sky at dusk and is “elegant in its simplicity,” according to Pantone.
I’d also add that Classic Blue and similar shades are smart choices as dominant or accent wedding colors. Why? They are somewhat neutral so they pair well with numerous other colors. Blue also isn’t stereotyped for a specific season. It is a star performer at weddings from January through December!
