Football Cheese Ball
Ingredients
- 2 pkgs. (2-3 oz. size) dried beef, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
- 2 8-oz. pkgs. cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup finely chopped green onions
- 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 packet taco seasoning mix
- 1 stick of string cheese or 1 slice of mozzarella cheese
Directions
Mix together cream cheese, cheddar cheese, green onion, half the dried beef, Worcestershire sauce and taco seasoning in large bowl. Shape into a ball and turn out onto a sheet of plastic wrap. Use the loose ends of the plastic wrap to shape the cheese mixture into a football. Place the cheese football onto a serving plate. Cover the top of the cheese football with the remaining dried beef pieces. Use string cheese or mozzarella cheese strips to create “football laces.”
Cover and refrigerate for at least two hours before serving with crackers.
