Fall is right around the corner!
Fall decorating and party planning can be simple and inexpensive. I encourage you to look around for ideas and experiment. My decorating skills are limited, so I shamelessly hack sites such as “Halloween & Fall Finds” on Totally Promotional’s Pinterest page.
Easy indoor fall party decorating
Got a few minutes? Then you’ve got time to create this easy-to-make centerpiece:
Place tall candles into various sizes of amber bottles or jugs. Surround them with actual leaves or faux ones … and presto! A beautiful fall creation.
Let’s talk fall porch ideas
Mums and cornstalks seem to take center stage on porches everywhere this time of year. Accent bigger items such as straw bales or crates with randomly arranged silk flowers, scarecrows and colorful leaves.
It doesn’t take a lot of time to stuff containers until they overflow with pumpkins and gourds or even items from your own backyard like small twigs and leaves. Colorful or antique-looking tables can display more of your fall favorites. Pumpkins of all sizes, real or fake, make great fill-ins.
Warning: Don’t overdo it. You wouldn’t want your postal carrier or visitors to trip on the way to your door!
It’s time for fall-themed parties
My love for everything pumpkin is matched only by the rich aroma of cinnamon and nutmeg. Who needs to burn a scented candle when a scrumptious apple crisp is baking in the oven?
One of the desserts I plan to try soon is Pumpkin Pecan Cobbler; the recipe can be found at Lauren’s Latest. I can almost taste the warm, crunchy cobbler with vanilla ice cream melting through it. Yum!
The Internet has millions of recipes for autumn-themed snacks and drinks (64,300,000 on Google, last time I checked). Some that caught my eye are Pumpkin Pie Cheesecake Dip (served in a hollowed-out pumpkin, of course), Oreo Acorns and Apple Cider Floats.
