Party planning requires a game plan. It takes a great amount of patience, organization and effort. Many people don’t know where or how to start.
Success is in the details
At Totally Promotional, we pride ourselves on making our customers’ events unique. We’ve worked with thousands of event and wedding planners to give their parties a memorable touch! We continue to offer the latest trends in custom printing and endless color options to accent any theme. Through our experience in the party planning industry, we’ve picked up a few tips that we are happy to share with you!
Keep a list
The best way to start party planning is with a complete checklist. This will help you stay organized with what is done and what you need to do. To host a great party for your guests, we suggest you start planning at least one month in advance.
Food and drinks
Let’s start with one of our favorite topics: Food. The most difficult but important step of party planning is crafting a great menu. Finger foods are great for snacks and usually easy to make. They are equally easy and delicious for your guests to eat. Have fun with it by matching the food with your theme!
If serving indoors, keep gooey food or drippy sauces away from expensive rugs and furniture. Think about how you will serve snacks and drinks. Do you need sample size bowls, cups or coasters? Consider custom stadium cups or can coolers, which double as party favors your guests can take home and reuse! The design tool at TotallyPromotional.com allows you to easily personalize favors and accessories for your party. Choose to customize your items with one of our templates or submit your own artwork to us.
Also, make sure to have enough food for your guests. You don’t want anyone to go away hungry!
Set the mood
When deciding location and a setting for your party, choose an area that will keep your guests relaxed and comfortable. Arranging a great atmosphere can absolutely make your party! Having a festive party with decorations and music will place every guest in the right mood. Consider using a custom banner or DIY signage as backdrops or a fun photo booth. You might also want to add creative lighting to enhance the atmosphere. Be sure to provide enough seating!
Request their presence
Now for the invitations. First impressions are very important so be creative! Be sure to include the details such as when and where, and the reason for the party.
Be a responsible host
As a host, all aspects of the party are your responsibility. If you are providing alcohol, or if your guests are bringing their own, make accommodations ahead for anyone who needs to stay over. Don’t let anyone drive home if they’ve been drinking!
The possibilities are endless when it comes to party planning. Paying attention to details will make your event fabulous!
