Every couple wants their wedding to be perfect and as stress-free as possible. A wedding day checklist can be your best friend on such an important day.

To ensure your big day goes as smooth as possible, you need to be prepared. That means having everything handy, from nail files to stain removers.

We’ve been in the wedding business for more than 30 years and are happy to share what we’ve learned. Here is our very popular wedding day survival kit checklist to get you through!

Our helpful checklist covers personal hygiene, beauty and fashion, and those little extras you don’t think you’ll need, but might. Have enough on hand for your wedding party, parents and others so everyone is at their best!

Many of these items can be customized with your names, wedding date or special message. Consider giving these as wedding gifts and favors!

Personal hygiene items

customized wedding hand sanitizer

Customized hand sanitizer is a must during cold and flu season! And you’ll want to have your toothbrush and toothpaste on hand, too, to keep that smile as perfect as possible for the camera. Don’t forget the lip balm!

If roses are in any bouquets, grab a box of bandages for wayward thorns. Kleenex is also a must because someone is sure to cry. And for heaven’s sake don’t forget the deodorant! Stress prompts perspiration.

Beauty and fashion items

It’s all about the hair. Pack your favorite comb, a can of hairspray and a few extra hair accessories. Place all your jewelry together in a secure bag before heading out.

A pocket mirror really is a girl’s best friend! And if you don’t want your groom to walk down the aisle with his dog’s hair streaming from his jacket, pack a lint brush!

Outdoor weddings call for fun sunglasses and sunscreen.

Extras

You might want to use a separate container for all the little extras such as a glue gun to reattach gown embellishments. If the best man gets a headache or the maid of honor can’t control her cough, you’ll also be glad to have some basic medicines stashed away.

Batteries, an umbrella, tape and snacks are great emergency supplies to place in that extra container. A customized can cooler will certainly come in handy to keep everyone’s hands and clothing dry while wetting their whistle.

Ready, set, go!

This checklist is designed to fix any little hiccups that may occur such as a shortage of bobby pins, a chipped fingernail or a small stain on the groom’s shirt. Trust me, it can happen.

This wedding day survival kit can also be used as a handy checklist for the honeymoon and future trips!

I hope you won’t need most of these items but it never hurts to be prepared.

Best wishes for a happy (and worry-free) wedding day!
