We do not offer specific programs or special discounts for charitable organizations or military personnel. However, please submit your request to our Customer Service Department and we will let you know if we can help in any way. has samples available to customers upon request. Begin your order by entering your quantity, production time, zip code and desired shipping method. Select the product color(s) and imprint color that you seek. Upload your artwork file(s) or choose the “Email Later” option to send your own custom artwork file to us. Preferred files are EPS, AI and PDF vector formats, although JPG and PNG are sometimes accepted. If sending a raster format (JPG or PNG), please provide the highest resolution file you have if vector is not available. If you cannot upload your artwork, simply email your artwork.

You also can describe your design idea in the "Special Artwork Instruction" box and one of our expert graphic designers will help you create your perfect design. Our account representatives are trained graphic artists who can review and discuss your order requirements.

Yes. Just specify the changes you would like to make for your lanyards design in the “Add Special Request” section on the cart page when you go to checkout.
We prefer you send vector files for your artwork, which include EPS, AI, PSD or PDF formats. If you do not have access to those files, please send us your highest resolution file. Our production requires at least 150 dots per inch at print size. If your art resolution is too low to convert, the artwork may need to be redrawn and you could incur additional charges depending on the complexity of the design. Converting or redrawing artwork also could require additional time for production. Our team of experts can typeset text and create simple artwork for free.
You can send in your own design or art to us by uploading it in the "Upload Artwork/Additional Information" section on the product details page after choosing a quantity, entering your zip code and selecting the product and imprint color(s), or you can email us your artwork. Accepted file formats to send are EPS, AI, PSD or PDF. Please send your highest resolution file.

Note: Customers will be responsible to obtain proper permission for the reproduction of logos, trademarks and copyrighted material.
Very detailed artwork does not print well on lanyards because of the small imprint area available. If we cannot use your artwork, we will provide you with other options. If your artwork is extremely detailed, we may suggest using only text.

Yes. A FREE artwork proof will be sent to you via email. After you receive your proof, please contact your graphic artist to approve your design or have changes made to your satisfaction.
You may work with your graphic artist to change the item color(s) or the imprint color(s) on your lanyard proof.

Note: Because of variations and settings in computer monitors, the actual colors may be slightly different than what you see on your computer screen.
We never knowingly reproduce copyrighted material and cannot accept any liability for copyright infringement for reproducing your order. You are responsible to obtain proper permission for reproduction of logos, trademarks and copyrighted material.

We will consider but cannot guarantee the use of submitted artwork that is similar to the copyrighted or trademarked design you desire. Our graphic artists can help you create a design to your satisfaction.
Pantone Matching System is a standardized color reproduction system that more accurately matches shades for specific colors. Every PMS color corresponds to a number and is more precise for logos and branding.

The CMYK Value is a four-color process that layers the primary colors of cyan, magenta, yellow and black to form your color. CMYK is best for multiple-colored imprints such as photographs.
We offer about 250 fonts to choose from for your design in our Font Selection section. However, if you want to use your own font, you must first convert the text to outlines (graphics) in programs such as Adobe Illustrator or Corel Draw before sending it to us. We have a large library of other fonts not visible in our selection list; you may submit a font name and we will use it if we have it, or we can try to find something similar.
Totally Promotional generally keeps artwork/designs on file for about two years.
Yes, but please note that our product prices include one artwork/imprint per order. Each design you select or submit to us will be considered a separate order, which can reduce the price break we offer on larger quantities. This policy does not apply to second-side imprints on products such as drinkware and can coolers.
Our sturdy, satin-polyester economy lanyard is dye-sublimated and printed on one side.

The safety plastic breakaway is for the buyer who wants a lanyard with a safety-release option at the back of the neck area. The buckle release option allows for the removal of the bottom portion of the lanyard when desired or using attachments.
“One print per side” refers to a print on the left and right side of the lanyard as it hangs from the neck, not the front and back of the product.
Yes, you can print on the front and back of the lanyard on all of our Vivid Color (full-color) lanyard items.
We recommend you order our Double Bulldog Clip Lanyard if you’re worried that your brand or name won’t be visible during crucial times.
A set-up charge is the cost associated with creating a screen, plate or other fixture used to imprint your name, logo or artwork on a product.

We do not charge set-up fees for every customized product we produce. The product information page for each item states whether a set-up charge is included in the price.

Because the size of the area where the design is placed can vary on each product (ex., bag vs. lip balm), new screens, plates or fixtures sometimes must be created for the same design/logo and separate set-up charges can occur.
The screen-printing process we use to print many of our 1-color products involves a screen with emulsion that is exposed with your product’s design. Your design is printed when the screen is placed onto your product and ink is applied.
Yes. Our lanyard imprints range from 1-color to Vivid Color, our full-color printed lanyards. Our 1-color imprints are produced by screen printing. Vivid Color lanyards are created through dye sublimation printing and you can view them here.
The Vivid Color dye sublimation process dyes multiple colors into the lanyard material with ink, heat and pressure without leaving a raised finish. This process preserves the product’s durability while leaving a smooth finish.
The colors that appear on your computer screen or on a copy you print will not reveal the true Pantone Matching System Color of our products or imprint because all printers and computer monitors are calibrated differently. If this is a great concern, we recommend you request a sample.
Our products and imprint colors are available in a large selection of colors. Unfortunately, we cannot provide exact Pantone Matching System Color matches on our 1-color imprint items. We recommend you view our Vivid Color (our multiple color process) imprint items or request a sample if you wish to have your colors matched more closely.
Yes, lanyards can be ordered without an imprint. Simply mention "no design" in the "Special Artwork Instructions" box on the product details page when you place your order. Your order will be assigned to a Customer Service agent who will adjust your quote to reflect our blank pricing, which does not carry a set-up charge.

Yes. Our minimum order for lanyards is a quantity of 12.
Estimated delivery costs can be found on the first page of the ordering process for your lanyards order. Click on the item you wish to customize, enter the quantity you would like to order and fill in your zip code. The various ground delivery methods and costs will be displayed.

It is important that you let your Account Representative know if you need a special delivery method or have special delivery instructions for your order. Our free ground delivery service (labeled with the free delivery icon) includes delivery to destinations in the Continental United States.
Guaranteed Delivery Dates
Your Guaranteed Delivery Date is the date you will receive your order when choosing rush production and/or rush delivery times. This date could change in lieu of holidays or if adjustments are made to the order/artwork after the initial proof, depending on when the order is finalized. Fees for our rush service will be refunded if your order does not arrive by the guaranteed date.

This is the approximate arrival date of your order when using Standard Production and/or Standard Delivery methods. This date could change depending on current production capacity, adjustments to artwork after the initial proof, and when your order is approved and paid. If you need a guaranteed arrival date, we recommend you select rush production and/or rush delivery times.
Our orders are delivered by United Parcel Service (UPS), United States Post Office (USPS) or DHL. Our production facilities are situated throughout the United States. All orders ship via ground service unless an expedited method is chosen or requested to meet a special event date. All quoted delivery costs are estimated and can vary.
We ship orders from facilities across the United States; the location depends on the items you ordered.
We can drop ship (delivering products to a location that is not your own, ex., delivering directly to a client or customer's location) multiple products to multiple locations. It may incur an additional cost. We require that you send an Excel spreadsheet or Word document with the full ship-to addresses and specifications if items are being delivered to more than one location.
Yes, we can blind ship if you indicate this on your order or discuss it with your Account Representative. We cannot, however, 100 percent guarantee that your order will ship blind due to the process of delivering our products.
We ship our products by UPS, USPS and DHL, depending on the method you choose or the process that is best suited for your order. A tracking number with letters and numbers, generally beginning with “1Z,” indicates a UPS shipment. A tracking number with all numbers that typically starts with “94” is delivered by USPS. Tracking numbers beginning with “93” typically are handled by DHL.
We recommend you contact your Account Representative for any changes to your initial order. After your order is in production we may not be able to accommodate changes.
At this time we are not offering shipments to Canada but are working to change this in the near future.
We ship all across the U.S., including to military APOs. Due to requirements and regulations of the military, we cannot guarantee when you will receive your order. However, we do guarantee the date the product will ship from our facility.
The arrival date of your lanyards order is based on a few factors:
  • The production time you choose. (Our production time deadline is 11 a.m. Eastern Time.)
  • The shipping method and your shipping location.
  • The day and time your FREE proof is approved by our staff. Production cannot start until your proof is approved.
To check the status of your order, enter your order number and the email address of the person who placed it. Your order information and status will be shown.

Note: Production times and shipping times are based on business days.
The production time is the period it takes to complete your lanyards order in our production facility, based on our business days (Monday through Friday, excluding holidays).

Your FREE artwork proof must be approved and your payment received and processed by 11 a.m. Eastern Time before production can begin. The Product Details page will provide you with current production time options and an estimated shipping date, based on the shipping destination.
Yes, you will receive a confirmation email immediately after placing your online order. Please note that email messages may end up in junk/spam folders. Be sure to check those folders if you haven't received your confirmation email from us.

This email is not a confirmation that your order is in production. If you did not approve your artwork online, you will receive a proof email requiring your approval before your order can proceed, with the exception of blank orders.
The arrival date of your lanyards order is based on several factors:
  • The day and time your order is approved. Your artwork, shipping method, production time and payment information must be approved by our 11 a.m. Eastern Time deadline.
  • The desired shipping location. The transit time of your order is generally estimated at one to six days. We recommend you check the estimated shipping date and estimated delivery date on the product page.
Our production and shipping times are based on business days.

Please note: After your order leaves our production facility, delivery mishaps are the responsibility of the shipping carrier, United Parcel Service (UPS), United States Postal Service (USPS) or DHL.
Please contact your account representative for any changes to your order. Once your order is in production we may not be able to make the changes you request.
New laws now require that applicable sales tax be applied to online orders. Totally Promotional calculates sales tax at the time of purchase, in accordance with applicable state and local laws. The amount of the sales tax charged will be shown in the order confirmation sent to your email. For further information, visit the Sales Tax section in our Terms and Conditions.
We gladly accept most major credit cards, including American Express, Visa, MasterCard and Discover. We also offer payment via purchase order from government agencies, schools and others with restricted payment options.
We do allow eligible customers to pay via Net 30-Day terms and/or purchase orders. In order to be considered, you need to place an order through our website and choose the "pay later" option so we have the full details of your planned order. Let your assigned Account Manager know that you want to apply for Net 30-Day terms or pay by purchase order, and a form will be sent to you to fill out or you may access it here. Your information must be reviewed and approved before we can proceed with your order. If you want to pay with a purchase order, you must first be approved and are required to send a copy of your signed PO with an amount that matches your online order.
If you place an online order and are given the option to “Approve Design” online, your order is considered finalized when you:
  1. Click “Approve” for the artwork
  2. Enter credit card payment information on the checkout page
  3. Click on “Place Order”
If you choose the Pay Now option at checkout, but were not given the option to approve your design online during the checkout process, you will be assigned to an Account Manager who will email you a proof and sales order to review. To finalize this type of order, you need to email your Account Manager with approval of your proof. We cannot put this type of order into production until we have written (email) proof approval and have processed your payment.

If you choose the Pay Later option at checkout, you will be assigned to an Account Manager who will email you a proof and sales order to review. To finalize this type of order, you will need to pay for the order via the payment link that your Account Manager will send you. Once your payment is submitted, it is considered approval of the proof and the order will be sent to production. If proof approval is emailed and payment has not been made, the order cannot be sent to production.
Yes! You can order the exact amount you need as long as it is above the lowest minimum quantity shown.
Unfortunately not. Our blank lanyards are custom made and cannot be returned.
