An imprint refers to the design, logo, print or text that is printed by us onto the lip balm label. You can choose a design from our clip art library or provide your own.
The Pantone Matching System is a standardized color reproduction system that more accurately produces true colors. Every PMS Color is represented by a number and is used most often for logos and branding.

The CMYK Value is a four-color process that layers the ink of cyan, magenta, yellow and black to form your color. CMYK works best for projects with multiple-colored imprints, such as photographs.
We consider white a void color so it is not counted as an imprint color. You may do a colored label with white printing or a white label with colored printing; both would be considered a 1-color imprint.
The steps you will take to design your lip balm imprint depend on whether you choose from our standard lip balm selection or Shop By Design. However, both processes are easy; you will be given step-by-step choices during ordering.

General design directions: Select a product and quantity and enter your zip code. Next you can choose a production time and shipping method to calculate your estimated shipping and delivery dates. Then you will be prompted to choose a lip balm flavor. The next step allows you to choose an imprint color(s). Now you will be asked to upload your artwork or email it to us later. You also have the option of describing your logo or design in the “Special Artwork Instruction” box and one of our graphic designers will help you.

For artwork files, we prefer EPS, AI, and PDF vector formats. However, we can sometimes accept JPG or PNG files. If you are sending a raster format (JPG or PNG), please send the highest resolution possible if vector is not available.
We prefer to receive artwork for your lip balm order in vector files with EPS, AI, PSD or PDF formats. If none of those are available, please send us the highest resolution file you have. Production requires at least 300 dots per inch at print size.

If your art file resolution is too low to convert, your artwork may need to be redrawn and additional charges could incur depending on the complexity. Converting or redrawing artwork may also involve additional production time. We can typeset text and create simple artwork for free.
You can send in your own design by uploading it at the "Upload Artwork/Additional Information" section on the product details page of the order form, or just email us your artwork. We accept file formats EPS, AI, PSD or PDF, and sometimes JPG and PNG. Please send the highest resolution file you have on hand.
Very detailed artwork does not print well on lip balm tubes because of the small imprint area available. If we cannot use your artwork, we will provide options. If your artwork is very detailed, we may suggest using only text.

Our company typically keeps artwork/designs on file for approximately two years.
We do not knowingly reproduce copyrighted material and cannot accept any liability for copyright infringement during the reproduction of your lip balm order. You are responsible to ensure that your artwork does not infringe on others' property rights. Customers ultimately are responsible for obtaining proper permission for the reproduction of logos, trademarks and copyrighted material.

We will consider but cannot guarantee the use of submitted artwork that is similar to the copyrighted or trademarked design you desire. Our graphic artists can help you create a design to your satisfaction.
We have about 250 fonts to choose from in our Font Selection. If you want to use your own font, you must convert it to outlines (graphics) in Adobe Illustrator, Corel Draw or another program before sending to us. We have a large library of other fonts not shown in our font selection list; you can submit a favorite font name and we will use it if we have it, or we will search for something we believe is similar.
Yes. A FREE proof will be sent to you via email, usually the same day you complete your lip balm order online, depending on the time of day we receive the order. After receiving your proof, please contact your graphic artist to approve your design or have changes made to your satisfaction.
Yes, you can work with your graphic artist to change the item color or imprint color(s) on your proof. Please note that due to different variations and settings in computer monitors, the actual item color and imprint color may be slightly different than what you see on your computer screen.
Yes. All of our lip balm labels can be imprinted from 1-color to Vivid Color, which is a process that combines multiple colors for an eye-catching appeal.
Yes, but please note that our product prices include one artwork/imprint per order. Each design you select or submit to us will be considered a separate order, which can reduce the price break we offer on larger quantities. This policy does not apply to second-side imprints on products such as drinkware and can coolers.
Our lip balm is made in U.S. facilities that are compliant with Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations.
Our entire selection of All Natural Beeswax Lip Balm is gluten-free. However, our SPF Lip Balm is not gluten-free.
We use the highest purity beeswax with a variety of flavors such as banana, peppermint, coconut, root beer, pomegranate, strawberry and bubble gum. We do not use petroleum products in our lip balm.
We offer a wide variety of scents to fit your needs. All of our lip balm is made with 100 percent natural beeswax, exotic oils, butters and waxes. Browse detailed information about our lip balm flavors and ingredients.
Natural Beeswax vanilla, tropical punch and natural/unflavored are our most popular lip balm flavors.
No known allergens are in our lip balms.
No, it is transparent and will not appear when applied.
No. We do not test any of our lip balm products on animals.
We recommend darker imprint colors for clear/transparent tubes with colored lip balms. Lighter imprint colors can be more difficult to see with this combination.
The colors you see on your computer monitor or those you print may not be the true Pantone Matching System Color of our imprints because all printers and computer monitors are calibrated in different ways. We recommend you request a free sample if you are seeking a specific color.
No, we can’t provide completely blank lip balm tubes because the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requires that we print all ingredients on the label. However, we can leave the remaining area of the tube blank.
Lip balm tubes should be stored in a cool, dry place. We recommend our lip balms be used within two years of purchase. Lip balms with Sun Protection Factor (SPF) have an expiration date on the tube, per the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
No, our colored lip balm does not offer SPF.
Yes, but you must order at least 200 of each scent/flavor to avoid an additional $15 charge on each individual scent/flavor.
The minimum quantity per order for lip balm is 50 tubes and is noted on the product detail page.
A set-up charge covers the cost to create and set up your personal artwork on our printer for imprint on your products. The procedure is more detailed because the size of the imprint area where your design will be placed is very small.
If you add sleeves to your order your lip balm will arrive assembled with the lip balm inside the sleeves.
All of our labels are placed on the lip balm before shipping. No assembly is required by customers.
We use flavor oils that serve as lip-safe fragrances in our scented lip balm. Our lip balm does not have a taste; the flavor oils scent your lips to give the perception of taste.
Our lip balm are bulk packaged into boxes.
Guaranteed Delivery Dates
Your Guaranteed Delivery Date is the date you will receive your order when choosing rush production and/or rush delivery times. This date could change if adjustments are made to the order/artwork after the initial proof, depending on when the order is finalized. Fees for our rush service will be refunded if your order does not arrive by the guaranteed date.

Estimated Delivery Dates
This is the approximate arrival date of your order when using Standard Production and/or Standard Delivery methods. This date could change depending on current production capacity, adjustments to artwork after the initial proof, and when your order is approved and paid. If you need a guaranteed arrival date, we recommend you select rush production and/or rush delivery times.
Your estimated delivery cost is shown on the first page of your order. Just click on the item you would like to customize, enter the quantity you wish to order and your zip code. The various delivery methods and costs will be displayed. Please let your account representative know if you need a special delivery method or have special delivery instructions.

We offer free ground delivery to destinations within the Continental United States.
Our orders are ground delivered by either United Parcel Service (UPS), United States Postal Service (USPS) or DHL. All orders are delivered via ground service unless an expedited method is requested to meet an event date.
All orders we process are ground delivered from our various production facilities across the United States, depending on the items ordered.
Yes, we can take requests for drop shipping (delivering to a location that is not your own, ex., delivering directly to a client or customer's location) and are able to ship multiple products to multiple locations. This method may incur an additional cost. We ask that you send an Excel spreadsheet or Word document with the full ship-to addresses and specifications if products are being delivered to more than one location.
Yes, we can accept requests for blind shipping if you indicate this on your lip balm order or discuss it with your sales account representative. However, we cannot 100 percent guarantee that your order will ship blind due to the process of delivering our Totally Promotional products.
We ship our lip balm by UPS, USPS and DHL, depending on the method you choose or the one that is best suited for your order. A tracking number with letters and numbers that generally begins with “1Z” indicates a UPS shipment. A tracking number with all numbers that often begins with “94” is delivered by USPS. A tracking number that starts with “93” is likely delivered by DHL.
Please contact your account representative if you want to make any changes to your order. Once your order is in production we may not be able to fulfill your request.
At this time we cannot ship any products to Canada or outside the Continental United States. However, we are working to change this.
Yes. We ship throughout the U.S., including to military APOs. However, due to military requirements and regulations, we cannot guarantee the date you will receive your order. We can, however, guarantee the date the product will ship from our facility.
The arrival date of your lip balm order is based on a few factors:
  • The production time chosen. Our production deadline is 11 a.m. Eastern Time.
  • The delivery method and location you choose.
  • The day and time your FREE artwork proof is approved. Production cannot begin until your proof is approved.

Normal transit time is one to six days, depending on location.

Note: Production and delivery times are based on business days, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

You may check the status of your order by entering your order number and the email address of the person who placed the order.

When your order leaves our production facility it becomes the responsibility of the delivery carrier, United Parcel Service (UPS), United States Postal Service (USPS) or DHL.
Production time options for most of our items are found on the order page and based on business days. Your FREE artwork proof must be approved and payment received and processed by 11 a.m. Eastern Time before production on your lip balm order will begin.

The product details page will show you an estimated delivery date related to the production method you have chosen.
Production time is the period it takes to complete your lip balm order in our production facility, based on business days, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

We must approve your FREE artwork proof and your payment must be received and processed by 11 a.m. Eastern Time before production can begin. The product details page will display your production time options and an estimated delivery date, based on the delivery destination.
You will receive a confirmation email soon after placing your order online. Email can land in junk or spam folders so please check those if your confirmation email hasn’t arrived in a reasonable time.

Note: This email is not confirmation that your order is in production. If you did not approve your artwork during the online process, you will receive a FREE proof via email that must be approved by you before we can proceed with your order.
It is recommended that you contact your account representative for any changes to your order. Once your order is in production it may be difficult to accommodate your request.
New laws now require that applicable sales tax be applied to online orders. Totally Promotional calculates sales tax at the time of purchase, in accordance with applicable state and local laws. The amount of the sales tax charged will be shown in the order confirmation sent to your email. For further information, visit the Sales Tax section in our Terms and Conditions.
Our company accepts most major credit cards, including American Express, Visa, MasterCard and Discover. We also can accept purchase orders from government agencies, educational facilities and other groups with restricted payment methods. Contact your account representative for details.
We do allow eligible customers to pay via NET-30 terms and/or purchase orders. In order to be considered, you need to place an order through our website and choose the "pay later" option so we have the full details of your planned order. Let your assigned Account Manager know that you want to apply for NET-30 terms or pay by purchase order, and a form will be sent to you to fill out. Your information must be reviewed and approved before we can proceed with your order. If you want to pay with a purchase order, you must first be approved and are required to send a copy of your signed PO with an amount that matches your online order.
If you place an online order and are given the option to “Approve Design” online, your order is considered finalized when you:
  1. Click “Approve” for the artwork
  2. Enter credit card payment information on the checkout page
  3. Click on “Place Order”

If you choose the Pay Now option at checkout, but were not given the option to approve your design online during the checkout process, you will be assigned to an Account Manager who will email you a proof and sales order to review. To finalize this type of order, you need to email your Account Manager with approval of your proof. We cannot put this type of order into production until we have written (email) proof approval and have processed your payment.

If you choose the Pay Later option at checkout, you will be assigned to an Account Manager who will email you a proof and sales order to review. To finalize this type of order, you will need to pay for the order via the payment link that your Account Manager will send you. Once your payment is submitted, it is considered approval of the proof and the order will be sent to production. If proof approval is emailed and payment has not been made, the order cannot be sent to production.
Yes! You can order the exact amount you need as long as it is above the lowest minimum quantity shown.
