Promotional products for decades have helped charitable groups reach their goals of helping others. Customized items in bulk are very affordable and can be used throughout the year for all types of marketing campaigns.
Nonprofits big and small successfully use promotional products at open houses, anniversary celebrations and other community events.

Boosting awareness with promotional products
Our local Coldwater (Ohio) Kiwanis Club has for decades used customized giveaways to raise money and awareness of their mission. When members met to brainstorm ideas for their 50th anniversary in 2019, promotional products were again part of the plan.
Coldwater Kiwanis Club President Vicki Hoyng said customized items help the group gain visibility.
“We use promotional items to show the public the important activities we sponsor and are involved in to promote our Kiwanis mission of ‘improving the world one child and one community at a time,'” she said.
Items with their club logo help showcase their group and also contribute to the recruitment of new members, Hoyng added.
This year the Coldwater Kiwanis club chose customized magnetic clips and other items to distribute at the town’s annual community parade. The clips were a big hit along the parade route.
The club in the past used customized apparel, pens and banners to promote their message at various events. Longtime Coldwater Kiwanis member and current secretary Barb Kremer said items with the Kiwanis’ logo help generate an attitude of teamwork among club members.
“Members like to feel a part of the group and like the uniformity of wearing the clothing, particularly at our K-Burger events,” she said.
The local Kiwanis club is known for the delicious K-Burgers they sell at numerous events each year to generate funds for the many projects they sponsor. This year a banner created by Totally Promotional was hung on the Kiwanis K-Burger trailer to advertise their impressive 50-year anniversary.
Kremer said the personalized giveaways give an identity to the group and promote a curiosity about the club to the community. The interest helps keep the organization going strong.
The Coldwater Kiwanis Club was founded in 1969 and is part of the Kiwanis International, which helps children around the globe. The main focus of Kiwanis clubs today is helping youngsters live happy and healthy lives.
The local club helps provide clothing and school supplies, assists children with disabilities, awards student scholarships, and raises funds for numerous community campaigns for youth.
