A lot has changed since 1993.

Totally Promotional is celebrating 30 years as a leader in the promotional products industry. Tom Casad and his wife, Paula, founded the business.

The family-owned company started with a handful of employees who took customer orders in person, via fax or over the phone. Clients often thumbed through catalogues to find items to personalize and hand out at celebrations and corporate events.

Customer orders initially were printed at a modest production facility several miles from the former office in Celina, Ohio. When Rhonda Hyde started in 2013, she was one of just eight or so employees sewing can coolers in a small production area.

“I guess some of the biggest improvements I’ve seen in the 10 years I’ve worked here would be how we have grown,” Hyde said.

In 2016, the company’s budding production and office teams were joined under one roof in Coldwater, Ohio.

Totally Promotional currently employs about 140 people in its 182,000-square-foot production facility. Its production team includes printers, sewers, order prep associates, packers and shippers, quality control experts and others.

The business also boasts a staff of nearly 100 office personnel in sales, customer service, marketing, web development, product research and other positions. Employees enjoy working in a beautifully renovated office area spanning 23,000 square feet.

The e-commerce business operates two successful websites: Totally Promotional and Totally Wedding Koozies. They offer customers about 11,000 products to use for branding, wedding favors, fundraisers and numerous other events.

Some of the company’s bestselling promotional products are can coolers and KOOZIES®, customizable table covers, apparel, reusable water bottles, bags, napkins and lip balm. The Totally team is currently adding many more brand-name products and full-color items to its websites.

But there is something else at the heart of Totally Promotional’s success: dedicated employees.

“We have great employees, which is what makes the business so successful,” said accountant Marcia Homan, who just celebrated 25 years with the company. “I don’t think a business can be successful without great workers.”

Totally Promotional continuously seeks new ways to attract talented employees such as embracing a casual workplace that encourages creativity and individuality.

Hyde said she loves the easy-going environment at Totally Promotional and the many opportunities for advancement for those who are willing to learn.

Jenn Kremer, another long-time employee who joined the Totally team in 1999, is proud of the company’s history and sees nothing but growth ahead.

“Our company has grown from a small team of individuals to a streamlined manufacturing company,” she said. “Whether it is technology or new innovative products, Totally Promotional is adapting and changing with the times to keep us strong.”
